Guest Review : Fresh Soy Face Cleanser

A while ago, I reviewed some Fresh skincare products and generally I liked them especially the masks. As I had an extra Soy Face Cleanser, I passed it to Fatin for review and let’s check out what she thinks of it.

Not only do I drink Soy twice a day, now I’ve started washing my face with it too. Of course not the liquid soy on its own. I’ve been trying out Fresh Soy Face Cleanser and although I usually steer clear of the “Suitable For All Skin Types” label due to my oily skin, I’m quite impressed with this one.

It is formulated to effectively purify, tone and remove makeup while leaving the complexion velvety soft and silky smooth. The Soy amino acids in this cleanser promotes moisture retention, elasticity and firmness that protects and balances skin. Rosewater calms and soothes the skin whilst the Cucumber extract possesses powerful anti-inflammatory properties and delivers an immediate cooling effect. Aloe helps skin maintain its natural moisture levels, so it won’t feel stripped dry.

I lurv the light soothing scent of rosewater and cucumber. It has a luxurious cream gel texture that lathers into a light foam when mixed with water. You don’t really need a large amount, half the size of what I have on my hand in the photo above will do. My skin feels soft and comfortable without any oily residue after washing. Feels refreshed!

Here’s what I noticed though, it works great if I’m just washing my face and I wasn’t wearing makeup before. But the result is a tad different if I use it after I remove my makeup with cleansing lotion prior to using the Soy Face Wash. It doesn’t really remove all the leftover residue with just one wash. It only felt clean after the second wash. But otherwise it’s quite alright. It’s gentle enough to use twice a day and also around the delicate eye area.

Fresh Soy Face Cleanser is available at Sepahora outlets for RM129 (150ml).
