Art Deco Art Couture Lipstick 677 otherwise known as Asian Velvet Cherry is my kind of lipstick shade – strong, intense plummish red. It has a matte silky and creamy texture but unlike some matte lipsticks, this isn’t terribly drying. I guess it’s thanks to the Candelilla wax, Beeswax and Carnauba wax which have softening properties.

There’s complete opacity with just one application. I like the fact that it isn’t sheer. I do dislike lipsticks where I have to apply a few times to see any colour. This lipstick has longer than average staying power and I can still see traces of it after a light meal.
