Attending Guerlain’s Abeille Royale workshop yesterday at Parkson Pavilion was rather enlightening as I went away with a thorough understanding of their anti-aging Abeille Royale range. This range contains Pure Royal Concentrate that stimulates the key mechanisms in the healing process within the skin to continuously help to repair wrinkles and loss of tissue firmness. The packaging is so luxurious and sleek, the covers of the creams reminds one of honey hives.

The main purpose of this workshop was to introduce us to the latest addition to the range, the Repairing Honey Gel Mask, a mask which can be used as a sleeping mask or just left on for 10 minutes and removed with a tissue or a cotton pad soaked in toner. The workshop was presented by Guerlain’s Trainer, Mr. Adrian Sin.

What are the key ingredients in this range? There are 2 exceptional potent anti-aging ingredients:-

1. Royal Jelly from Sologne, France where Guerlain keeps 200 hives.

2. Honey from Quessant Island, off Brittany, France where there are no parasites with a strong ecosystem.

After cleansing our faces with cleansing milk, we applied Abeille Royale Toner with a cotton pad. This toner prepares the skin to optimise the wrinkle-correcting and firming action of Abeille Royale skincare. It’s better to apply toner before any skincare to ensure better/faster penetration of those skincare into skin,

mask

This is the mask which we’d all been looking forward to trying. It’s cooling, non-oily and soothing and most importantly, packed with potent ingredients for firming, lifting and hydrating skin. It’s recommended for once to twice weekly use. If I had this, I think I’d use it thrice a week, it feels and smells divine! The scent is fresh, genuine and enveloping. There’s nothing quite like this mask!

Can you see how this mask hydrates skin? It’s so light yet so effective and high quality. This is a fantastic sleeping mask as it’s not one of those thick and creamy masks.

After the excess mask has been wiped off with toner (most of it absorbs into skin after 10 minutes), we applied Abille Royale Face Treatment Oil which firms lifts and tones. This has a watery oil texture which gives radiance to skin.

apply

Place 3 to 5 drops of the oil on the palm and warm it up between palms before cupping face about three times.

This is the recommended way to apply the oil if you want to ensure maximum efficacy.

Apply Abeille Royale Day Cream and Eye Cream. Adrian recommends eye cream be applied first to avoid oil seeds and from the outer to inner corner of eyes for better absorption. There’s actually no need to apply a moisturizer after the Honey Gel Mask if you’re using the mask in the day time but if you’re using the mask at night, you can apply a moisturizer for additional hydration.
