Astalift White Skincare Series

Back in April, ASTALIFT launched an enhanced version of its whitening skincare series renamed ASTALIFT White. This series aims at helping women in their 20s to 40s fight age spots and dull complexion. The ASTALIFT White Skincare Series is enriched with a new brightening ingredient, Nano AMA. The combination with other effective whitening ingredients such as Arbutin and Vitamin C in the formula enables ASTALIFT White to deliver advanced whitening effects that inhibit the production of melanin in the skin, achieving a brighter, more translucent complexion.

Comprising three products, the series includes a whitening lotion, whitening cream and whitening beauty essence, also known as ASTALIFT White Essence Infilt. Maximum results are achieved when all three products are used simultaneously over a regular period, shielding skin from inflammatory stress caused by UV rays and environmental damage which activate melanin generation and increasing skin’s resistance to age spots.

The whitening series also contains the brand’s signature ingredient, Astaxanthin and three types of collagen to deliver the feel of firmer skin. Considered one of nature’s most powerful super antioxidants, Astaxanthin also has whitening capabilities as it can help inhibit melanin production in skin.

ASTALIFT White Essence Infilt RM158/15ml & RM288/30ml

The signature product in ASTALIFT”s enhanced whitening series is the White Essence Infilt. The beauty essence contains the highest concentration of Nano AMA in the new whitening range. AMA is naturally derived from a medicinal plant (commonly called “Tiger’s Herb) known for its excellent healing and anti-inflammatory properties. To optimise its penetration ability into the deeper layers of the skin, FUJIFILM used its proprietary cutting-edge nanotechnology to synthesise AMA into the world’s smallest nano-particles at 20nm as of 22 November 2012.

Nano AMA in ASTALIFT White is able to penetrate deeper and quicker into skin to target melanocytes (skin cells that produce melanin found in the lower layers of the epidermis). Melanin protects cells from UV rays but its excessive production causes age spots. Tests by FUJIFIM have shown that Nano AMA is twice as effective in suppressing the generation of melanin as conventional AMA for enhanced whitening effect.

This is a very light and runny essence which absorbs into skin very quickly providing comfort and hydration. It doesn’t feel sticky at all. ASTALIFT recommends using 2-3 pumps and massaging into skin for 30 seconds for maximum results.

ASTALIFT White Lotion RM158/150ml

I guess we call this a toner but the Japanese prefer to use the word “lotion”. ASTALIFT recommends patting this into skin. This is a moisturising lotion containing:

• Brightening ingredient, Nano AMA
• Whitening active Arbutin
• Super antioxidant, Astaxanthin, to prevent age-related damage, and three types of collagen to improve skin firmness and elasticity
• Seaweed extract to moisturise skin

Has a very nice botanical scent just like the Essence and Cream.

ASTALIFT White Cream RM208/30g

Contains brightening ingredient, Nano AMA, whitening active Arbutin, super antioxidant, Astaxanthin and three types of collagen to improve skin firmness and elasticity. There’s also apricot extract to increase skin cell turnover rate and boost the natural production of hyaluronic acid.

Has a rich and luxurious texture without being too thick, this certainly hydrates very well.

ASTALIFT Perfect UV Protector SPF50+ PA++++ RM158/30ml

Contains:-

• FUJIFILM’s proprietary Deep UV Guard Technology to protect against the most skin-damaging UVA rays
• Light Analyzing Powder to control light absorption and reflection to achieve a brighter skin tone
• Super antioxidants, Astaxanthin and Lycopene, and three types of collagen for skin-firming benefits
• Aloe vera extract to alleviate skin inflammation caused by harmful UV rays
• Hyaluronic Acid to keep skin hydrated
• Light texture that spreads effortlessly over the skin

Overview

This range contains some interesting ingredients and sounds promising in regard to the whitening properties. However, I am unable to confirm whether they brightened my skin tone since I only had small samples of 5ml Infilt, 5g Cream, 20ml Lotion and 2 sachets of UV Protector to try. I will say though that the Essence and Cream left my skin well hydrated.
