A few weeks ago, I received a call from The Gardens Hotel & Residences informing me that I had won their lucky draw. I had thrown my card into a glass bowl at Ri-Yakitori on the hotel’s 7th Floor and had forgotten all about it. I had won a dinner for 2 for the BBQ Buffet on Friday nights at The Spread on the hotel’s 6th Floor.
Unless you are a vegetarian, anyone would love a BBQ Buffet as there’s a variety of meats and seafood on the grill. There’s indoor and outdoor seating. As this is a BBQ Buffet, all the food is served on the outside area. There aren’t a lot of choices but I’d say it’s adequate.
Mushroom soup
I started with the mushroom soup which certainly didn’t taste as if it came from a can. The mushrooms were very finely chopped or minced. It was creamy and good enough that I went back for seconds.
For the BBQ, you can choose between prawns, squid, sirloin, lamb cutlets. I liked the lamb cutlets best of all. They were seasoned very well and the mint sauce was the perfect complement. There’s also mushroom sauce & BBQ sauce. Ready prepared foods are sausages, fried rice and banana leaf wrapped fish which was average.
Banana wrapped fish
There’s a selection of salads too.

Desserts
There’s lots of local kuih, fruits and creme brulee (very, very good!) for the dessert selection. There’s no complimentary coffee/tea. One can only have so much of a BBQ Buffet. I got thirsty very quickly and drank copious amounts of water. The BBQ Buffet is RM55++ per pax.
dessert look appetizing ^^
Creme brulee was especially yummy!
ooo, i am a sucker for dessert
for the price and based on the pics……i would say this is worth it!
