Business France Malaysia, the French Trade Commission, has put on a great spread of sweet and savory treats for the 3rd edition of Bonjour France – A Taste Of France which kicked off at Isetan KLCC last night. The French gastronomy festival will run from the 5th until the 21st of May 2017 and aims to celebrate all things delicious that France has to offer. Bonjour France is now officially part of the overarching Le French Festival formerly known as the French Art & Film Festival.

Foodies all over the country will have the opportunity to rediscover French delights throughout the entire month of May at Isetan, GCH Retailers and Jaya Grocer. Four new French brands, carefully selected by Global Pacific Victory, will be launched in over 20 supermarket outlets across the nation. Participating outlets include all Mercato and Cold Storage outlets, Jason’s Food Hall, Jaya Grocer stores in the Klang Valley and in Ipoh, as well as Isetan KLCC.

Food and beverage partners include Caldbeck MacGregor (this year, the spotlight is on the Burgundy region featuring Patriarche as the official wine sponsor), House of Laurent-Perrier (official champagne partner for 2017) and Cordon Bleu Malaysia. On top of cooking workshops in selected supermarkets throughout the month, Malaysians will once again have the opportunity to sample scrumptious delicacies at the Pop-Up Cafe at Isetan KLCC. Chef Tan Chung Liang from WhupWhup and Chef Tho Lye Shean from Steaks & Lobsters will helm the cafe at Isetan KLCC while Chefs Janice Siew (Patisserie), Janice Lee (Jam & Kaya Cafe) and Sharina (Ri Cafe) will be serving up various treats at Jason’s Food Hall and Jaya Grocer Intermark.

Aside from being a launching platform for new brands in Malaysia, one of the main objectives of Bonjour France is to put the spotlight on well-established French food and beverage brands available in Malaysia, to support French culture and her gastronomic heritage.
