The craft workshop at Craftiviti PJ was so much fun that I can thoroughly understand why some people are so passionate about making their own products. After this workshop, I might even take up a candle making workshop as I find it rather therapeutic! We were given a sheet of paper with the ingredients for the Melt & Pour Soap:
100g melted Craftiviti Soap Base
+ Craftiviti Melt & Pour Soap Dye
+ 10 drops of Yein & Young Essential Oils
OR Craftiviti Fragrance Oils
Stir well and pour into mould
Remove from mould after 15 minutes
It was so nice being able to choose from the Fragrance Oils and Essential Oils available. I chose two Fragrance Oils as they have a stronger scent than the Essential Oils. My choice was Agarwood for the rose mould and Young Designer for the butterfly mould. After mixing the ingredients, you have to quickly pour the mixture into the mould otherwise it will harden and the surface won’t be even in which case there’s no need to fret as mistakes can be corrected. The mould can be put into the microwave and after that the mixture will be left to set.
Initially, it can be a little bit difficult to handle the mixture like getting it to spread out evenly in the moulds but with practise, it would get easier. It’s a good feeling to see my own creations. Craftiviti has a wide variety of moulds, Fragrance Oils and Designer Oils as well as all the ingredients one could ever need for making soaps. I know where I’ll be heading to if I want to make more soaps.
