Year after year, many people look forward to Estee Lauder’s Blockbuster Sets. In the 1990s, the price of the sets was less than RM200 but the price has gradually increased over the years. It’s called inflation. However, it can still be said that the sets are great value when you consider the price of one of the lipsticks.

Moreover, you can probably disassemble the set and give the eyeshadow palette to your sister, the lipsticks to your mum, the mascara to your friend and so on. They do make good gifts and I would certainly be very pleased to receive any one item from the set.

Most of the eyeshadows in this year’s set are similar to last year’s 2 sets. This year there is only 1 set whereas last year, there was an exclusive to Isetan set. This year’s set looks a lot smaller than last year’s and there are no brushes in this year’s set. If memory serves me right, there have always been brushes in their annual Blockbuster Sets.

Last year, the set was available at RM220 with RM230 purchase of any of their products but this year, it’s RM240 with RM250 purchase. There is an Early Bird Special at their Isetan counters today – the 1st 21 customers to purchase this set will receive a 4ml Sensuous Nude. My favourite products in the set are the lipsticks.
