A few days ago. I was at Sunway Pyramid and passed by the yet to be open Taco Bell (in between KFC and McDonald’s) just above the ice skating rink/post office. I made a mental note to visit when it was open and by sheer coincidence, it was open yesterday, their first day. It wasn’t very crowded as it was in between lunch and dinner time so I ordered after asking what their best-selling item is. It’s their 2 Taco Supreme and you can choose between seasoned ground beef/ground chicken/grilled chicken. For vegetarians, you can have black beans as the filling.
Other than the meat or black beans, other ingredients include their signature hot sauce, sour cream, fresh lettuce, diced tomatoes and cheddar cheese. Try it in a freshly fried crunchy corn tortilla shell or a soft flour tortilla. I chose the crunchy tortilla shell and it was truly delicious. So moist and delectable with every bite. Their hot sauce isn;t that hot but we are Malaysians and used to spicy sauces. The French Fries are done very well, restaurant standard!
Then there’s another favourite, 2 Kickin’ Chicken Tacos – A golden crispy chicken strip drizzled in flavorful kickin’ sauce, topped with fresh lettuce, pico de gallo salsa and a blend of mozzarella and cheddar cheese. All wrapped in a soft flour tortilla with nachos on the side.
There are over 70 seats at Taco Bell Sunway Pyramid. The seats are comfortable and I like the purple theme since that is my favourite colour. There’s a Californian vibe which is not surprising as Taco Bell was founded in California in 1962.
The sauce sachets are unique as every sachet has a different phrase. They could very well be collectors’ items and there are over a hundred different ones to collect, should anyone be so inclined.
yum. It is finally in Malaysia. Hopefully I can try it . Heard so much about how tasty it is.
Hi
Long time no hear, hope everything well with you.
This isn’t their first outlet but it’s the only one I can get to easily.
