After Lancome’s Rouge In Love made its debut last year, this year Lancome introduces Gloss In Love. There are 12 shades altogether ranging from sheer to medium coverage. It contains light-reflecting particles and color-catching pigments. I received Gloss In Love Glitter-mania 144 to review. The tube is bigger and wider than your average lip gloss. The cap is silver and you can see exactly what shade it is through the tube so even if you have 2 Gloss In Love in your handbag or make-up bag, you will instantly identify which shade it is without having to look for the name.

An interesting feature of Gloss In Love is the bi-faced applicator. It looks like a spatula shaped applicator which tapers to a fine tip. The top part of the applicator is the lip shaper side and it’s this side that is used to perfectly shape the lower lip for boosting smoothing action and shine. Turn the applicator over (the bottom side) for a lip liner effect, this gives ultra-precise lines.

The lip gloss also features an exclusive clic opening system. To open, all you have to do is pull the cap up and to close, just push the cap down till you hear it click, fast and easy! No twisting of the cap required, it’s that convenient.

It’s very moisturising and feels ultra-light on my lips without any sticky sensation. It doesn’t even feel as if I am wearing any gloss. I have used it on its own but staying power isn’t long when used this way. To prolong wear time, I wear it over lipstick. You can see how sheer it is when worn on its own. My shade has fine shimmer and high shine without any glitter particles left on lips after the colour fades.

Feels great and looks great, this is one lip gloss to look forward to when it becomes available in June. Retails at RM75.
