L’oreal Paris Excellence Fashion

A while ago, I featured the launch of L’oreal Paris Excellence Fashion. To recap a little, the product is for the woman who wants to stand out with rich, intense hair colour and promises to keep hair shiny and nourished. I was startled to see the number of greys and off I went to the salon recently with my box of L’oreal Paris Excellence Fashion in Intense Copper Brown.

1. Protective Pre-Color Serum

2. Protective Crème Colorant

3. Crème Developer

4. Protective Conditioner

Each box comes with the above components, a comb to attach to the Crème Developer bottle and a pair of disposable gloves. I didn’t have all my hair coloured as one box wouldn’t have been enough. I only had the roots covered and one bottle was just enough for that purpose.

The process starts with application of the Protective Pre-Color Serum. My hairdresser remarked that the amount was too little and indeed it was as within a minute, he had squeezed out every tiny bit of it. There could have been a bit more of the Protective Pre-Color Serum.

Next the Protective Crème Colorant was squeezed into the Crème Developer bottle and mixed together. The comb applicator was affixed to the bottle and used to apply the mixture through my hair. Maybe it’s because I wasn’t the one doing the application but I didn’t smell a strong chemical scent or ammonia. It was left on my hair for about 40-45 minutes during which time my hairdresser was kind enough to treat me to a peanut butter & strawberry jam toasted sandwich.

Since the colour was only on the base of my head, I can’t really see a difference between “before” and “after” but this is quite a nice shade of brown especially for Asian skin tones.

L’oreal Paris Excellence Fashion retails at RM34.90 per box.
