Memang Best Noodle House is located at C31 Atria Shopping Gallery

There are times when I have an insatiable craving for curry laksa but it’s getting harder to find really good curry laksa. The noodles must be as good as the soup and the accompanying sambal. During a recent media event at Atria Shopping Gallery, media were treated to lunch at Memang Best Noodle House. Their nasi lamak is good but their curry laksa is even better and ever since then, when I think of unforgettable and excellent curry laksa, Memang Best Noodle House comes to mind which is why I visited again yesterday when I really wanted to have curry laksa for lunch.

You can choose the type of noodles you want, be it yellow noodles, kuey teow, mee hoon or lo si fan. Other types are available for an extra 60 sen such as mee poh, wan tan mee, spinach noodle or Vit’s noodle but for me, yellow noodles or mee hoon is my choice in a bowl of curry laksa. Their noodles supplier is the renowned AK Noodles House.

Each bowl of noodles comes with a one-time noodle only refill which is served together with the main bowl, but you have to request for it when you order

The curry laksa is priced at RM17.50 subject to 10% service tax but here’s the good part. You get a 1-time noodle only refill so altogether the serving is quite big and filling. Believe me, once you have had a taste of the soup and noodles, you will certainly want more and that’s where the extra noodles in the smaller bowl is so satisfying.

That’s not the only nice part about dining at Memang Best. Leave them a 5-star review on Google Review and you will be rewarded with a small bottle of Spritzer. They were very busy at lunch time. The restaurant was packed with office staff and shoppers.

Their curry laksa soup has just the right amount of spiciness and it’s so thick and creamy. In my opinion, it’s one of the most delicious curry laksa in town and is way better than more expensive laksa in posher restaurants. Value-for-money here as you have the option of asking for a noodle refill.

However, I do feel the staff could be slightly more cheerful and responsive as I commented about how good the laksa is to the cashier and was met with stone silence. Also, for the bottle of Spritzer after I’d posted my Google Review, I had to ask a few times even though they knew what it was about. The Spritzer was just in front of me in a fridge and all one of them had to do was move one step to grab one of the bottles. Yes, service can be improved but the food is just perfect.
