mochi

Thanks to SK-II who presented guests to their presentation on the Cellumination Essence EX and the Whitening Spots Specialist with a box of Mochi Sweets, I finally had the opportunity to try the Japanese glutinous rice cakes which I have been eyeing at The Gardens and Pavilion.

The mochi is specially prepared from ingredients flown in from Japan and kept at -20 degrees Celsius at all material times and can be consumed immediately after being thawed for 10-15 minutes. There were 6 mochi in my box but when I got round to opening the box, I discovered that someone in my house had already taken the Cream Chocolate and Red Bean before I managed to snap a photo of the contents in their entirety. Hmmmmm…..they must be irresistible!

mochi4The Blueberry Cream was the sweetest of the four remaining mochi. The black sesame was the next sweetest while he mango yoghurt and green tea were more to my sweetness tolerance level. My favourite was the Mango Yoghurt as it tasted like fresh fruit had been used. They were all rather creamy and I can kind of understand why the price is so high for these little morsels. Not that I would purchase them but they are certainly oishii!

  1. I think i wouldn’t have time to snap the photo for this lovely mochi as they will just go into my stomach. > < i bet the cream chocolate and red bean are even more delicious

  2. Everytime I just walk past the counter becoz I know it would be too sweet for me to swallow… same with macaroons.
