Murad Vitalic Pomegranate Exfoliating Mask

I’ve always been a bit curious about Murad products, maybe it’s because of all their advertisements in the papers. I was tempted to try out one of their facials but haven’t got round to making an appointment yet. Anyway, the opportunity to try out one of their products came in the form of the  Vitalic Pomegranate Exfoliating Mask, a sachet of which was in MIVVA’s February box.

This is an exfoliator which is left on the face for 10-15 minutes. It was created to even oily and dry zones, clear clogged pores and keep combination skin in balance. Some of the key ingredients are :-

  • AHAs exfoliate to keep skin clear and smooth
  • Pomegranate and Ginkgo Biloba Extracts fight free radicals and inflammation
  • Natural fruit enzymes dissolve tired cells and free skin’s surface of trapped impurities
  • Sodium PCA softens, conditions and hydrates

One sachet contains 7.5ml which is a lot for one usage, I think 5ml would have sufficed. It’s a white gel which becomes clear once applied on skin. It felt cooling and it wasn’t long before my skin started tingling, the tingling became more intense the longer I had in on. If you have sensitive skin, the tingling might be stronger for you. It didn’t bother me but I could still feel the tingling when it’d been rinsed off and the sensation lasted for about 20 minutes post-rinse. Maybe I should have used less for a milder tingling effect.

My skin didn’t feel smoother or look brighter. I am not sure if one application would have been enough to see such results but my usual scrub would have made my skin smoother than this Exfoliating Mask. Each sachet of Murad Vitalic Pomegranate Exfoliating Mask retails at RM16.50.

  1. a sheet mask at RM16.50, i would expect that i work. Me too, i keep saving money when my skin was full with acne hoping to go for Dr.Murad because of the advertisement too.

  2. However won’t you feel worried if they included brightening or certain chemicals to create a false brightness/ smoothing effect? Just my 2 cents… I tend to worry if the results are too obvious. Haha

    1. It was red and burning. Had a shock. My face has turned to sensitive since that severe skin allergy I had. Actually one sachet is too much for 1 application. 2 application sounds like it. Hmmm I still have 1 more sachet on hand haha

    2. I did some research online about this mask and read that it’s more for oily skin. I don’t know if you have oily skin but I don’t so it could be more stinging for those who don’t have oily skin. Yes, I remember your severe skin allergy. Have to be careful with new products.
