oly_logomark_full_cmyk-1If I do buy Oloiya bak kwa, it is usually from their outlets in SS2 PJ or Jalan Imbi in downtown KL but of course with the restrictions on travelling beyond 10km, I would rather stay put in my area as I don’t want to encounter any road blocks. On the night before CNY, I ordered 500g of Oloiya bak kwa from a seller on Shopee. The Oloiya sellers are all selling 500gm of dried pork at RM58. With the redemption of my Shopee coins, I paid around RM45 which is a good price for 500gm.

The seller shipped on CNY Eve morning and by noon today, the box of Oloiya bak kwa had been delivered. There were 12 pieces in the box, all individually vacuum sealed in its own sachet. I think it’s more oily than what I’d get if I had gone to the physical stores. Still, it’s tasty and better than not having any Oloiya bak kwa at all. That’s really fast shipping and delivery as I expected the parcel to arrive only next week which would have been okay with me since I ordered last minute.

Happy Chinese New Year and may the Year of the Metal Ox bring everyone health, prosperity and good fortune.
