With the theme, “Be Successful, Be Significant, Be Special – Be The Entrepreneur, Be The One!” The BrandLaureate Entrepreneur Awards 2023 honour the outstanding entrepreneurs whose innovative thinking, boundless determination, and brand-focused strategies have driven industries forward and elevated them to the summit of achievement.
The night also witnessed the proud recognition of our Nation’s Best – homegrown brands that have made profound contributions to nation building through their strategic and transformative initiatives that have impacted positive change in the economy and society. These astute individuals and brands have dared to dream and dared to build, and in doing so, left an indelible mark on their industries, their nation, and the world at large.
In his welcome address, Prof. Dr KKJohan, World President of The BrandLaureate encouraged all recipients of the night to continue on their entrepreneurial journeys driven by a genuine passion for what they do. He further emphasised that entrepreneurship is a force of change, a catalyst for progress, and a source of inspiration for all. He shared, “In the world of entrepreneurship, our work is more than a job; it’s a significant part of our lives. It’s about pouring our hearts and souls into our endeavours, crafting a legacy that we’re truly proud of.”
Prof. Dr KKJohan was also honoured as the recipient of The BrandLaureate Entrepreneur of Entrepreneurs – Lifetime Achievement Award 2023 for his exemplary leadership in the world of brands and branding. As the World President of The World Brands Foundation and The BrandLaureate Awards, he has built The BrandLaureate Awards to be the No. 1 Branding Awards in the industry. Through the Awards, he has inculcated the importance of brands and branding in the country, especially in the business community where the importance of branding and building strong brands is paramount to the business success and the success of the nation’s economy too.
His contributions to the country and business community are immense. With a good mix of IQ (intelligence quotient) and EQ (emotional quotient) Dr. KKJohan has shaped and defined brands and branding and influenced mindsets amongst business leaders on the need to brand with astounding and successful results. Dr. KKJohan is the nation’s pride. His leadership and entrepreneurial skills have set him apart from the rest of the entrepreneurs to deserve The BrandLaureate Entrepreneur of Entrepreneurs –Lifetime Achievement Award 2023.
Furthermore, the evening marked the officiation of two Strategic Collaborations between The World Brands Foundation (TWBF) and Global Entrepreneur Xchange (GEX), as well as between The BrandLaureate Education and Corporate Coach Academy (CCA). Two new awards were also introduced: The BrandLaureate DigiTech Awards 2023 and The BrandLaureate Global Network Marketing Awards.

Bhd; Tuan Haji Burhanuddin Md Radzi, Managing Director of Les’ Copaque Production; YBhg Dato’ Sri Anne Eu, Chairman of Eu Yan Sang Group; YBhg Datuk Sr. Mohd Salem Kailany, President & Chief Executive Officer of UDA Holdings Berhad; YBhg Dato’ Sharon Foong, Founder & Managing Director of Ruyi Holdings; and Dr. Michael Ong and Dr. Terrence Teoh, Founders of 1 Doc Holding Sdn. Bhd. while Nation’s Best recognized brands such as Gas Malaysia, Intellect Worldwide and IOI City Mall.
