‘Vaseline Dry Skin Restored’ Campaign Launch

According to the Vaseline Skin Moisturisation Survey 2014, as many as 56% of Malaysian women do not moisturize their body regularly with body lotion despite 90% of them declaring that moisturisation is important. Furthermore, the majority of respondents did not take moisturizing seriously, claiming that they did not have time for moisturising (61%).

Causes of skin dryness include long hours spent in air-conditioned or dry environments during travels. Heat and humidity can also cause dehydrated skin as can frequent long hot showers. Therefore it is important to keep skin moisturized.

With so many Malaysian women oblivious to some of the main factors that can cause adverse effects to the skin on their body in just 24 hours, Vaseline Malaysia is embarking on the ‘Dry Skin Restored’ campaign to educate Malaysians – with the aim of addressing the low level of awareness and priority amongst Malaysians on the benefits of keeping their skin moisturized.

The Vaseline Total Moisture range contains natural ingredients such as aloe vera, oat and cocoa butter and an innovative technology, Stratys-3® to deliver extended moisturisation to the skin. Specifically, Stratys-3® is a revolutionary multi-layer complex that infuses and suspends moisture while delivering nourishment across skin’s top, core and deep down levels of the skin (stratum corneum) without a sticky feeling.

Following the launch of this campaign, members of the media were taken on a tour of the Dry Skin Restored roadshow held at the Concourse of 1 Utama Shopping Centre. They were brought to experience the three specially constructed rooms that replicated environments commonly experienced by Malaysians. Prior to entering the rooms, members of the media took a moisture test to enable them to compare the moisture levels before and after entering the rooms. The first room replicated Malaysia’s hot, humid weather, the second one, an air-conditioned room and the third one, a hot shower – all of which dry the skin. Skin moisture levels were restored to healthy levels of moisturisation by Vaseline’s Total Moisture range.
