Camomile Tea is well known for its health benefits as it has calming properties and can improve sleep quality. The camomile flower comes from the daisy family and used as a herbal infusion. Twinings Pure Camomile is a golden infusion which is slightly sweet and floral. Twinings harvest their camomile during the warm summer months, selecting the pollen heads, as they’re the sweetest part. Twinings gently steams the camomile to protect their gentle taste. This blend contains all natural flavourings.
During the Twinings tea tasting session with their Brand Ambassador, Khun Dew, he created a cocktail with Twinings Camomile Tea. I never knew Twinings tea could be used in cocktails until this tea tasting session which was very enjoyable and enlightening. I wish Khun Dew will hold a longer workshop to impart and share his extensive knowledge on Twinings teas and how they can be used creatively with other ingredients.
To create the Twinings Camomile Cocktail (at the special request of Reuben’s Restaurant & Bar). Khun Dew added Vodka, Malibu Rum, fresh orange juice and sugar syrup to the Camomile Tea. The result was a pretty good cocktail albeit general consensus that it was a tad sweet but the sugar level can be adjusted according to taste.
