Mrs. Malaysia Globe Grand Finals was held at Mega Star Arena, Sungei Wang Plaza on 5th November 2023 and was bolder, more sophisticated, and more glamorous than ever! This year, the pageant blended tradition with modern elements, creating a unique tapestry of experiences that set it apart from previous years.
The pageant team curated a series of thrilling events for the finalists. The journey began in August with an enlightening Cognitive Consciousness Training by Ms Chris Teo. The following day, Mr Desmond Yoi offered invaluable grooming guidance to all the finalists. The crescendo of this training was a catwalk workshop led by Malaysia’s famed supermodel, Amber Chia, whose years of experience in the modelling world ensured our Queens transition from being poised to runway-ready.
The excitement continued in September, as participants immersed in activities ranging from Bollywood dance sessions designed to foster a sense of sisterhood among the contestants, to personal branding workshops. In an attempt to bring more significant impact to domestic violence, there was a Muay Thai training session tailored specifically to reinforce the importance of self-defence for women, while demonstrating its real-world application.
In a heartfelt initiative during the pageant, contestants embarked on a special project with dyslexic children. Together, they designed unique t-shirts, each spotlighting a word that children with dyslexia commonly find challenging to spell or pronounce. The t-shirts took centre stage when they were gracefully paraded by the finalists during the grand finale. The culmination of this endeavour was an auction of these meaningful tees, and the funds raised will be generously channelled to support the commendable efforts of two dyslexic centres. Contestants also had he exciting opportunity to participate in mermaiding sport, as part of the pageantry activity in promoting wellness and fitness. Mermaiding is becoming an increasingly popular activity which is used to promote tourism and educating the public on ocean conservation.
Sustainability also took centre stage with a CSR project that dived deep into ethical farming. Contestants gained hands-on experience harvesting fruits and vegetables, underlining the importance of sustainable practices in our daily lives.
To ensure contestants were at their very best, an intensive pageant bootcamp is scheduled from November 1st to 4th at Double Tree, Hilton Shah Alam. This rigorous training prepared them for the grand Mrs. Malaysia Globe (MMG) Grand Finals.
The grand finals, themed “Black & Gold Elegance,” was a magnificent affair, as the event line-up speaks volumes:
Smashing Stereotype: Women redefining norms and expectations.
Dream Big Barbie Style: Proving once again, the sky’s the limit.
Femininity at its Finest: A tribute to the multifaceted essence of every woman.
Decoding Dyslexia: A special streetwear auction highlighting the challenges faced by dyslexic individuals.
Hollywood Glam: Paying homage to the timeless Queens of the Silver Screen.
From mesmerising traditional musical performances to eye catching outfits adorned by the finalists, the grand finale kept audiences thoroughly entertained. A journey through culture history of Peranakan by the finalists donned in the kebaya outfit. Audiences were also serenaded by the guzheng and erhu, two traditional Chinese instruments.
The pageant also gave honour to their distinguished guest of honour, YBhg Puan Sri To’ Puan Datuk Proff. Dr. Shariffa Sabrina as the deserving recipient of its first ever Inspirational Woman Hall of Fame Award. The award was not just honouring an individual but the very spirit of women’s outstanding achievements and boundless potential.
Mrs. Hyacinth Ho, the driving force behind this year’s event, aptly pointed out that, “this year’s Mrs. Malaysia Globe brings to the spotlight the resilience and transformative journey of our contestants. Through activities that underscore sustainability, self-defence, and social advocacy, we’re championing a new era where beauty meets purpose, and where every contestant tells a story of strength, compassion, and heritage.”

Mama G, a fashion guru who has immensely contributed to the Malaysian fashion industry, Dato Lilian Tong, a respected icon in the Penang Baba Nyonya scene and the Museum Director for Pinang Peranakan Mansion, Lucia Wong, who was crowned Mrs. Classique Globe 2023 and the radiant Mrs. USA Global 2022, Jessica Jordann,
In our endeavour to make a meaningful difference, a portion of the ticket sales will be donated to ‘Volunteer with Love’, an admirable organization that has been showering love, support, and assistance to individuals and communities since 2016.
