The year-end festivities culminating in Christmas is a delight as we can indulge in special food prepared for this occasion. It was a much anticipated media preview at Cinnamon Coffee House @ One World Hotel, Petaling Jaya a few weeks ago as we were introduced to the hotel’s Christmas buffet dinner. The desserts especially the cakes are the highlight of this buffet as they are made to please our eyes as much as our tastebuds.
For refreshing starters, choose from the Cajun Shrimps, Waldorf and Grilled Chicken Salad to the international cheese platter which consists of Emmental, Blue and Brie Cheese, to name a few. Plated items such as Smoked Salmon, Cajun Prawn with Pomelo Salsa and Quail Eggs on Crab Meat are also not to be missed.
At the heart of the buffet spread are unlimited servings of briny fresh seafood-on-ice featuring freshly-Shucked Oysters, Atlantic Jackknife Clam, Snow Crab, Slipper Lobster and more, while succulent roasts such as Australian Striploin, Beef Wellington, Baby Lamb and a-la minute pasta will be sure to draw diners in. At the grill station, the chefs will dish out Wagyu Beef Striploin Steak, Sliced Lamb Shoulder and Cajun Chicken Breast served with its condiments.
Another ‘must try’ are the Seared Beef Medallion, slow-cooked Lamb Shoulder and Baked Seabass Fish with its condiments. The buffet spread also has a diverse mixed of Malaysian flavours which include Malay, Chinese, Indian to Japanese where assorted Sashimi and Sushi as well as the Teppanyaki live station are available.
Round up your feast with sweet pickings from the dessert bar including Christmas Yule Log, Fruit Cake, Christmas Pudding and so much more. Check out Cinnamon Coffee House’s Christmas Goodies Counter with an array of quintessential goodies to choose from and delight family, friends and business associates with beautiful treats. The selection of desserts is as varied as the main courses (there’s just not enough room in my stomach). My favourite dessert was the ice cream – choose from Sea Salt, Coconut, Matcha, Raspberry, Blueberry, etc.
After indulging in all the Christmas Goodies, end the year and usher in 2024 with a Countdown Party at the Sphere Lounge and order your favourite drinks and midnight snacks while listening to the beat of their live music entertainment and DJ spinning the night away.
