Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Capri Summer Collection 2012

Every year, I wait with bated breath for Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Collection 2012 to arrive at one counter in particular since it’s usually only available at the Isetan KLCC counter. I’m not that fast this year as I only saw it today although it has been there for about a week.

What I was really waiting for this year is the Bronze Sands Five Color Gelée Powder EyeShadow Palette because I wanted to see what the fuss about the gelée texture was all about. Besides, it’s easy to see that this palette would be the star product of the collection. By the way, it’s also known as the Capri Collection. Hmmm…..doesn’t that sound rather similar to Collistar’s Summer Collection?

It didn’t look that appealing just looking at the palette, in fact it looked kind of ordinary but when I swatched it, different story altogether. Beautiful texture and pigments, shimmery without being powdery, totally sophisticated shades. I was in love with all 5 shades. I am not often impressed with eye shadows since I’ve so many and seen even more but these shades literally take my breath away and I’m not just saying. I have already reserved a palette to be picked up at the Isetan voucher day next month (20th July).

The middle shade in the swatch is such an incredible gold and the blue isn’t just blue, it’s like a blue-grey and in my opinion, the most unique shade of the five. It’s also the one with the least amount since it’s just a tiny square in the middle of the palette. I am already thinking of all sorts of ways to mix and match the colours. It’s a must-have from the collection. Just as well I have reserved mine as it’s all sold out on the official website. All this awesomeness for RM152, worth it. Shades can be used wet or dry but why bother with wet when they already look so gorgeous used dry.

The Shimmering Sands Illuminating Powder Gelée can be used for shading, highlighting and contouring. It has an innovative tri-blend liquid, powder, gel formula with a mix of pigment and pearls for a multi-reflective finish. It retails at RM120.

The Intense Kajal Eye Crayon Duo is a creamy crayon with 2 shades – White Sands & Molten Lava. Molten Lava is a rich brown which makes for a much softer eye look than black. Retails at RM70 which is very reasonable for an Estée Lauder eye liner.

The 2 Pure Color Long Lasting Lipsticks are Tiger Eye (medium warm orange brown) & Urban Auburn (deep red brown). I’d go for Tiger Eye as I think it’s the more wearable of the two. They retail at RM85 each.
