Kosé Seikisho Mask White

For those who are unfamiliar with Kosé Seikisho Mask White, the name gives the impression that the mask is white when it’s actually a gooe-ey thick and black sticky mask. It’s got “white” as part of its name because it has brightening properties, it helps increase clarity and radiance.

So far I’ve purchased this mask twice. Sometimes you can pick it up at a good discounted price at their warehouse sale but even at full price, I’d say this is an affordable counter brand whitening mask. It’s a peel-off mask that dries after 15 minutes, helps speed up the process if you sit in front of the fan.

Well, I wouldn’t have repurchased this mask if I didn’t like it. It does brighten skin after it’s been peeled off. What I like about it is that it comes off completely and easily in one pull and not in bits and pieces. There’s some residue at the sides but this is easily removed with some water or toner.

While it does give my skin a brightening boost, it doesn’t remove my blackheads. However, it seems to have a tightening/firming effect as my skin feels taut for a few minutes after the mask has been washed off. It can be quite a messy mask as it’s black so I have to be extra careful not to accidentally touch anything other than my face when I apply the mask.

Comes in a 75ml tube at RM88. This review is based on a sample sachet. I’d repurchase if I came across it at another one of their warehouse sales.

  1. I’ve also just purchased this for the 2nd time! This mask is good. I don’t think it brightens my face but it sure made my face feels really clean. I usually have another mask after this one as I feel that it’s good to pack your face with lots of goodness after it’s clear and clean. ^^
