There have been several special occasions where I’ve purchased Cake Sense cakes from Jusco bakeries. They’re quite good for the price, certainly value-for-money as they aren’t nearly as expensive as other cake outlets in malls. So when I spotted the Cake Sense outlet at Paradigm Mall which has seating, I just had to try something.
Their bread cabinet has a lot of variety at very reasonable prices. Their butter bun is so fat and I had to look at the price tag again (RM1.80) to be sure it really was that price. Seriously? A lot of bakeries charge at least RM2 for their butter buns which don’t even come close to Cake Sense’s size.
If you’d like dessert after your dinner at the other eateries near Cake Sense, this is as good as it gets in terms of variety, that is but I can’t say the quality is on the same par as the quantity of choices as the tiramisu was more like a sponge cake than tiramisu. I could hardly taste the mascarpone.
As for the coffee, it was even more disappointing than the cake. I forgot to take a photo of the latte but it was so white, more milk than caffeine. I thought it was like a babyccino or maybe this was a babylatte. I’ll have to go somewhere else for coffee when I’m at Paradigm. They really need to improve on their coffees.
