The focus of this trend is on the eyeliner. It isn’t about the retro look but more on creating a geometry on the face. MAC Blacktrack Fluidline is used to create shapes and lines. The shape is slightly longer than the natural eye to elongate and the end is kept square. Blacktrack Fluidline is also used to draw a triangle through the outer corner of the crease, giving architectural structure to the eye.
“This season isn’t about liner being classic,” explains Gordon Espinet. “It’s about liner as an etching, about it creating a geometry on the face”. Makeup artists this season are considering the contemporary graphicism of a black line interpreted in an unconventional manner.
