For the longest time, I’ve wanted to discover more about Jurlique but I think the prices have done a lot in deterring me. Since I can’t have their full-sized products yet, it was opportune to find a 15ml tube of their Balancing Day Care Cream in Fabulous Find’s August box.
Described as “a light moisturizing cream for normal/combination skin”, I find it a bit puzzling how it can be termed as a light cream as it has a thicker texture than my usual moisturizers and it might be fine for colder climates but it may be rather too heavy for our hot and humid climate.
It might be the right texture for a hand cream but even on my dry skin, I find it too thick and it leaves a film on my skin long after it has been absorbed. The scent is quite strong but I do like the botanical blend of daisy, chamomile, rose and precious plant oils.
With Marshmallow, Avocado, Safflower, Jojoba, Shea Butter, Macadamia and Evening Primrose Oils, this moisturizer is ideal for dry skins in dry and cold climates. If I think it’s too heavy for my dry skin, you can imagine how it’ll fare on oily skins.
It comes in 2 sizes : 40ml/RM159 and 125ml/RM293.
Apparently, you’re supposed apply it on damp skin (along with the facial mist / toner)It’s supposed to leave the skin moisturised with a matte finish. BUT honestly, I have not tested it on my skin yet and i JUST bought the full size product.I hope it will work better on damp skin though.
Also, i find most of their products have very strong botanical scent which i love! Makes me feel like i’m in the spa when i have their products on my face 😀
oooo! I will try it that way then since I have facial mist. So true about the scent of their products, wonderful botanical scents.
