It’s not even Christmas yet and we are being tantalised by what’s coming up in Spring 2013. Laneige’s Spring Collection 2013 is all about pastel colours. The collection is inspired by the colours of sweet desserts such as Blueberry Ganache, Strawberry Truffle, Mint Ganache, Bon Bon Oh Chocolat and Lime Macaroon.
The sweet pastel colours this season brings out the soft natural beauty of a woman. The colours give a beautiful soft glow to the skin, which makes it ideal for day makeup. This unique collection gives multiple choices of colours and textures that complement each other, with an option to mix and match the colours.
Packaging design is by Shin Hye-Kyung, a creative and talented graphic designer who has produced iconic designs by using a unique design technique that combines various font types and illustrations. In designing Laneige’s 2013 Spring Collection, Shin uses a combination of cute font types and other design motifs such as lollipops, macaroons, dotted patterns and checkered designs with pastel colours to express sweetness of spring.
Shin’s designs are inspired by Robert Indiana’s artwork entitled ‘LOVE’ which gave her a pleasant and warm feeling by just looking at it. Shin believes that happy messages can be created with an impact by using the right design techniques and fonts.
In designing Laneige’s ‘Love Recipe’ she hopes to be able spread the feeling of delight and happiness to Laneige customers who purchase the Spring Collection 2013.
Dual Pot – Lips & Cheeks RM65
The Dual Pot comes in a convenient compact cube, with an opening on each end. It also comes handy with a lip brush that makes it convenient for women on the go.
With four variants to choose from, namely Strawberry Chocolate, Blueberry Ganache, Orange Chocolate and Raspberry Truffle, each variant features 2 complementing colours with different textures designed for your lips and the cheeks/eyes respectively.
The top of the pot contains a more vibrant colour with smooth and creamy texture for the lips. The lip colour is formulated with skin-like amino acid, a substance that functions as a moisture barrier to keep the lips protected and moisturized throughout the day. On the other side of the pot is a multi functional coloured cream, which can be used as an eye primer, a tone-up base, eye shadow or even as a blusher. It has a silky cream texture that turns powdery upon application, allowing a natural gradation of shades.

Lemon Colour
1) Eye Primer – Apply the lemon colour primer on the entire upper eyelid to prevent eyeshadow from creasing. It also helps enhance your eyeshadow colour and prolongs its wear, maintaining its vivid color all day long.
2) Brightening – You can also apply some under the eyes and on the corners of the nose. This will brighten up your eyes and even out your skin tone resulting in younger looking skin.
Lavender Colour
1) Eye Shadow – Apply a thin layer of the lavender colour over the entire upper eyelid. The lavender colour enhances the eyes, making them livelier.
2) Blusher – Use the lavender colour as a blusher to give your skin a brighter and perky complexion.
