Sugar Is Sweet But The Scent Of Escada Desire Me May Be Sweeter

If I had to name a brand of fragrance that I absolutely love, I’d have to say Escada. I guess that means I like sweet scents. I love their Island Kiss and Rockin’ Rio which remind me of tropical fruits. I hadn’t checked out their “Me” perfumes until a few months ago when 2 of them were available at the Shiseido sale. I was a bit surprised to see non-Shiseido fragrances available.

There are 3 Escada “Me” EDPs namely Incredible Me (launched 2008), Desire Me (launched 2009) and Absolutely Me (launched 2010). The 3 bottles are the same shape (forms the logo of the House of Escada with two ‘E’s facing each other) with slight variations in colour. While the Incredible Me bottle has black outlines, Desire Me has golden-yellow outlines. The Absolutely Me bottle has an outline decorated with crystals, definitely the most elaborate and eye-catching bottle of the 3.

Escada Desire Me has the following notes:-

Top notes : citruses, mandarin orange, clementine.

Middle notes : Peony, green notes, honeysuckle, orchid.

Base notes : sweet notes, dark chocolate, coffee, custard.

So this is a sweet floral fragrance which smells very much of tiramisu. It goes on quite strong but mellows down after a while without entirely dissipating. It’s really long-lasting and smells classy. I’m sure the normal retail price for this 75ml bottle would be over RM300 but it was on sale at RM166. Incidentally, I noticed that a 75ml bottle of Incredible Me is selling for RM45 at the Amcorp weekend flea market but at that kind of price, I have my doubts about the authenticity.
