Out of all the makeup products, I can only remember purchasing lip liners once in all the years I have used makeup. This was a long, long time ago and that was when I realized I am just too lazy/can’t be bothered to apply lip liner even though it helps prevent lipstick from feathering and the colour on lips last longer with a base like lip liner. Still, I am sure there are also lots of women who diligently apply lip liner before their lipstick. How about a 2-in-1 product? I would then have no choice but to use it as lip liner and lipstick. This comes in the form of Bobbi Brown’s new Art Sticks.
My sample is in Bright Raspberry which at once reminded me of MAC’s Daddy’s Little Girl lipstick from the Archie’s Girls Collection last year although Bright Raspberry really is brighter and more intense. I would say the Art Stick feels creamy and glides on lips although it isn’t as hydrating on my dry lips as I would have liked it to be. However, a slick of lip gloss and lips are hydrated.
Even if you don’t have any other makeup on, Bright Raspberry will definitely brighten up your complexion. It’s a nice colour, not an everyday colour but I would wear this on days I want my lips rather than eyes to stand out. It’s nice to see Bobbi Brown produce more outstanding lip colours rather than another shade of pink, pink brown or rose. This one is rather matte so you can expect it to be long-lasting, doesn’t fade even after 5-6 hours as long as I don’t have a meal.
Bobbi Brown Art Sticks retail at RM88 and are available in 7 other shades – Dusty Pink, Electric Pink, Rose Brown, Sunset Orange, Harlow Red and Cherrywood. Comes with a sharpener which is of very good quality because it sharpens the tip nicely without breakage.

the colour looks good on you. Yes, i don’t buy lipliner too because i am too lazy to use them. XP
But it looks so dry on you hand…
It is drying because it is matte so you really need lip gloss over it otherwise lips feel uncomfortable.
Sometime it is very hard to strike a balance between matte finish and the moisturizing effect~
Depends whether your priority is long-lasting or moisturizing. I would choose comfort over long-lasting any time.
Wow a pencil which comes with a sharpener! I gotta go get the sunset orange!
