Who doesn’t like the feel of light and airy loose powder to set their foundation? Loose powder is a must-have for me otherwise I don’t feel like I look right, loose powder makes my foundation last longer and complexion look more matte.

Givenchy Poudre Premiere & Prisme Libre were created by Nicolas Degennes, Makeup and Colour Artistic Director at Parfums Givenchy. The idea, as ever, was to design a product that would be suitable for all women and their multitude of desires.

During the media introduction of the products, one of Malaysia’s most well known and leading makeup artists, K.F. Bong used Givenchy makeup including Poudre Premiere & Prisme Libre on the model.

All women want to look their best when they step out of their homes so they use foundations or BB Creams to even out their complexion. Some of us have our favourite loose powders while some of us are still looking for that HG loose powder.

Poudre Premiere comes in only one shade, which fuses together with all skin tones, from the fairest to the darkest. Nicolas Degennes has invented a product that changes lives: a universal, superfine and comfortable powder, which is applied to bare or primed skin for a completely sheer result. And which always guarantees an even, matte and naturally radiant complexion, in complete simplicity.

The Poudre Première case is presented in an utterly glam, rock’n’roll and chic Couture case. Black enamel is used to set off the powder and plays on the Givenchy logo both above and beneath the lid. Each Poudre Première features a white microfiber powder puff, which is soft and delicate, but if preferred, the powder can also be applied very easily with a brush.

Prisme Libre comes in 3 shades, which all seem to have been inspired by Haute Couture fabrics, from muslin to organza:-

pastel

Mousseline Pastel no. 1: sugar-coated colours which correct and reduce imperfections for a very natural opaline effect.

taffetas

Taffetas Beige no. 2: a cocktail of beiges, apricot and yellow, which delivers a healthy glow in just one stroke of a brush. The skin appears to have been invigorated by fresh air.

07

Voile Rosé no. 7: sensuality and voluptuousness in a mingling of pinks and mother-of-pearl. The result on the skin: a halo of light and radiance.

Mousseline Pastel comes in 4 beautiful pastel shades and is so finely milled. Just look at it on my hand.

The case is transparent save for the black cap. Each powder is “sifted” through a 4G logo. The powder can be applied with a brush or the accompanying powder puff. Unscrew the lid, turn the case over while holding the powder puff against the screen, shake and then apply the powder to the skin. Same method if you are using a brush or you can pour some out against your hand or a tissue paper and pick up from there.

Prisme Libre Mousseline Pastels brightens up my skin and enhances luminosity, makes my skin look less yellow and sallow. It’s an excellent quality setting powder of course.

As for K.F. Bong’s model, doesn’t she look simply fab at the end of the makeup demo?
