Christian Dior’s beloved Normandy garden in his childhood home inspired his fragrances and his couture collections. His favourite flower was lily of the valley which he always wore in his buttonhole. This garden was said to have inspired him more than any other garden in any of his other properties which he acquired in his lifetime.

The names of the Rouge Dior Balm lipsticks are a legacy of Christian Dior’s love for the gardens and flowers that were the inspiration for his couture designs. In total, the Rouge Dior Balm collection s comprised of no less than 14 shades. Whether you like corals, rosewoods or intense pinks, there’s definitely a shade here for you.

I prefer Diorette to Spring as I find Spring a bit too light and I have to apply several layers to get it opaque. The lipsticks feel more like balm than lipsticks, they really feel extra nourishing and hydrating on lips. I like the compact size of the lipsticks, the deep blue packaging I very classy and the Dior initials are on the top of the lipsticks. Texture is very soft and silky, feels so nice on lips thanks to te star ingredient, Cristal Oil which is a natural lipcare ingredient developed at the Dior laboratories. However, the staying power is average as they fade within a couple of hours.

  1. I also prefer Diorette compare to Spring as the colour is more intense! I guess the problem of short wearing hours is the same for most moisturising lipstick. They tend to fade faster but still love the moisturising effect!
