If you are in a hurry to get to work every morning, loose eye shadow may not be what you can use every day because it takes more time and effort than compact eye shadow. Alima Pure Pearluster Eyeshadow comes in a teeny-weeny tub with a filter on the cap. The Champagne shade is a creamy peach which is so au naturel.
Actually, it’s best to use loose eye shadow with an eye primer so that the powder stays put and adheres to skin. With loose eye shadow, I find it easier to apply with fingers rather than a brush and Alima Pure Pearluster Eyeshadow can be used dry or wet for more intensity and sheen.
The filter from which the eyeshadow is dispensed is very tiny so you won’t have to worry about too much coming out. When used dry, you get a subtle iridescent finish whereas when used wet, the effect is a metallic sheen. Also, I found it slightly easier to apply if I mixed it with a drop of water. Whether used dry or wet, the look is very natural so if you need more intensity, just layer on other natural shades of eyeshadows so this Pearluster can be used as a base.
Pigments from Alima Pure Pearluster is impressive and they have good staying power with no creasing on me even without an eye primer. I didn’t get any fall-out with this product and although it is pricey for such a small amount, the quality justifies the price. The powder is so fine and of course, one would expect mineral shadows to be more expensive than non-mineral shadows. Although the pot is small, you really don’t need much powder per application so you do get reasonable mileage out of it.
