Since purchasing some Stendhal products from Sasa in early June, I have been trying to find out more information about this brand but it’s proving to be difficult as Stendhal doesn’t seem to have an official website. I have only been able to gather bits and pieces of information about Stendhal.
The Concentrated Whitening Essence is from Stendhal’s White Program range which also consists of a Cleansing Whitening Foam, Tonic Whitening Lotion, Protective Whitening Veil SPF15, Comfort Whitening Emulsion. I purchased the Concentrated Whitening Essence because I’d just finished with the Biotherm White D-Tox Serum. Another reason was that I was just plain curious about Stendhal. It was made in France but I knew nothing about it, not that anything has changed since then.
Having used the Concentrated Whitening Essence for a month now, it should show some results. I wasn’t expecting much from this product. Firstly, I was pretty sure the stock was quite old as the Sasa sales assistant said it was good for one more year, there was no manufacturing date or expiry date printed on the box either. Secondly, it wasn’t a well known brand, not in Malaysia anyway.
It’s a very fluid serum so one pump dispenses more than enough for my face. I also apply it on my neck since there’s excess and I wouldn’t want my face to be much fairer than my neck. It feels slightly sticky but absorbs fast and well enough.
I don’t think it’s my imagination, there has been a brightening effect in my skin tone and some of the pigmentation spots seem to have faded a bit. My skin looks more radiant and I can just get by with some BB Cream and loose powder instead of the full coverage of foundation.
As I understand, Stendhal skincare products are only available at Sasa Selective outlets. I’ll be checking out other Stendhal skincare the next time I am at a Sasa Selective outlet. This 30ml Concentrated Whitening Essence was on sale at RM56 (original price RM189!).
