G Art Gallery is delighted to be showcasing the newly revamped I Paint Music series, the brainchild of an artist who is no stranger to the art scene in Penang. Madeleine Ekeblad is an internationally recognized Australian artist who has made Penang her home and is now in her 3rd Malaysian exhibition.
Incorporating musical themes into all her vibrant paintings with her unique style of free form action painting, Madeleine Ekeblad or better known as Maddi, brings you “I Paint Music” with a twist as she experiments with the colour blue against her classic red and black. Thus, this new series is born consisting of colourful enamels, acrylic, inks as well as old music manuscripts dating back from the late 1880’s. Madeleine’s art sings to her audience with lyrical strokes of flowing paint, eloquently reflecting the nature of herself who lives with so much pizzazz.
Her passion for art has allowed her to set foot in Hong Kong and Taiper, where she has had over 10 exhibitions with her art bought by several international collectors from Australia, France, England, India, USA, Europe, South Korea, China, Hong Kong and Singapore. Artist, Author, Art Philosopher, Workshop Tutor, Art Judge, Curator, Teacher, Director of OMSA are just a few of her accomplishments. Not only that, she has also helped raise funds for various charities in Penang like the Penang Pink Ladies through her art.
G Art Gallery will be showcasing 26 pieces of her music inspired paintings of Cellos, Pianos e Dance, along with her signature paintings of the “Lady in Red”. She has made her paintings affordable ranging from RM375 to RM8,100.
The “I Paint Music” series by Madeleine Ekeblad will be on display until 31st May 2021 at G Art Gallery, Link Bridge at Level 1, G Hotel Gurney. Her paintings are all available for sale and for those who wish to purchase may approach the reception counter for assistance
