In conjunction with the launch of Lancome’s latest mascara Virtuôse Drama, there is an ongoing promotion at MidValley (in front of MPH’s entrance which faces Bobbi Brown) this week. There was also a media event this morning where Lancome’s National Makeup Artist, Zamri Zainol gave a makeup demonstration.
Virtuôse Drama is touted as the brand’s 1st mascara with double lifting effect. The mascara has a lot of very fine bristles set closely together. There is a certain technique for applying it to best effect. It separates each lash very well and there was no clumping.
Without using an eyelash curler, the mascara managed to lift up my lashes with a few strokes of the brush. I haven’t found many mascaras that can lift my lashes well without the aid of an eyelash curler but this one really can create, hold and set the curl.
Zamri’s tip is to let the mascara dry and then gently push the lashes upwards with a fingertip. Although not waterproof, the mascara is water-resistant and so far, so good. It hasn’t smudged on me one bit. I don’t think it lengthened my lashes dramatically but I’m impressed with the angle of the curl.
Tired of having to use the eyelash curler and you want something that will curl the lashes efficiently? You can try it out at their promo area or at any of their counters. However, I believe it’s only at the promo area that the 1st 10 purchasers of the Virtuôse Drama can receive a 2 piece gift of 5ml UV Expert Bright Eyes Protecting & Illuminating Eye BB Base and 5ml Genefique Yeux Youth Activating Eye Concentrate, both worth more than RM100.
Virtuôse Drama retails at RM95.
