A few days ago, I couldn’t go out for lunch and it was nearing 1pm. Aha! Time to order from ShopeeFood for the 1st time. After all, I’d been getting plenty of vouchers. One of the 1st options I saw (restaurants in my area) was BananaBro Sri Petaling and there was a Craving Set @ RM12.90. That looked like a good meal as there were 3 vegetables with rice, choice of 2 curries, papadam and rasam.
I ordered around 12.45pm and by 1pm, the delivery rider was already picking up at the restaurant. It took him just 10 minutes to get to me, even though he was confused by the numbering system on my street (all first-time visitors are) and took a wrong turn into a side street. There was leakage in the plastic bag but not that bad.
Now I am not one who likes a lot of curry sauce on my rice (I dislike soggy rice) but I thought this portion was measly even for me. Furthermore when I ordered, I was given an option to choose 2 curries. I only received one curry so you’d think they could be a bit more generous. I could immediately tell when I poured the sauce into a bowl that it wouldn’t be enough for even a few spoonfuls of rice.
What I fail to understand is they were generous with the amount of rice and vegetables which have to cost more than the sauce. The taste of the vegetables was okay, not the best but slightly above average. The sauce itself was not the best either but I needed sauce to go with the rice. I had barely got through half the meal when I ran out of sauce and I was already being as economical as I could with the sauce.
