MAC Cosmetics Styleseeker Collection will be available here in the 1st week of September. The colours in the collection reflect autumn, it looks like they were inspired by the colours of autumn leaves but it’s actually about vintage, ethnic looks and a woman who is a global wanderer. I had a sneak peek at the collection last week but am only featuring the blushers and lipglasses now as I have 2 samples for review.
Powder Blush L to R – Supercontinental (satin), Hidden Treasure (velvet), Wordly Wealth (frost)
Supercontinental Powder Blush
Supercontinental is a beautiful coral shade which is suitable for fair skin tones. It doesn’t take much effort to get the colour on to the brush and it’s very flattering even when you apply it lightly but of course it’s highly buildable should you require more intensity.
This one has a satin finish which is almost matte whereas the velvet texture has a cream finish and frost is naturally more shimmery than satin and velvet. Supercontinental is one of the nicest MAC limited edition shades I’ve seen in a long time.
The Powder Blush is 6g/RM78.
Lipglass L to R – Restless, Eclectic Edge, Ready To Roam
Ready To Roam Lipglass
There are 4 lipglasses in this collection but I only managed to swatch 3 of them. I’ve been a fan of MAC’s lipglasses for years as they give high shine and gloss. Many of them are intense enough to be worn on their own. I also love their sponge-tip applicators as they contain enough for each application without having to dip the applicator back into the tube.
Ready To Roam is a dark burnt bronze. Normally, I’d steer away from bronzes as as they’re not my favourite shade of lip colour but this one caught my fancy even before I tried it on my lips. The sheen and shine of this one is superb and it’s so pigmented. If I wasn’t passed this one to review, I would have purchased it. That sums up how much I love this lipglass.
The Lipglass is 4.8g/RM68.
