One look at the box and bottle of Anna Sui Romantica EDT will tell anyone that this EDT is inspired by flowers and Anna Sui loves her flowers. She buys flowers and decorates them in her home. The Romantica bottle is Art Nouveau, pink with a gilded floral pattern and topped by a gold cap shaped like a rosebud.
The top note opens with a floaty feeling of Calabria Bergamot, Mandarin Essence, Sparkling Pomegranate, and Watery Quince. This is followed by Rose de Mai, Osmanthus Absolute, Jasmine Petals, Orange Blossom, Water Lily and Peony Blossom. It settles with White Ceylon Cedarwood, Sheer Amber, Indonesian Sandalwood, and Creamy Musk.
The scent is overwhelmingly floral and quite overpowering initially. Once it settles down, I can hardly smell it. It isn’t terribly long-lasting and I felt like bringing it along in my bag to re-spray. I prefer the floral scents of Escada fragrances.
