From now till 29th August 2014, diners can enjoy a lavish Arabian buffet at Vogue Café, Renaissance KL presented by Guest Chef Youssef who has come all the way from Dubai. Expect the real flavours of Arabian cuisine, traditional recipes, authentic cooking methods and original ingredients.

It was an eye-opener for me as my knowledge and experience of Arabian cuisine has been quite limited so far. Chef Youssef’s menu rotates every day so you can always find something new no matter what day you are there.

We were treated to a demo by Chef Youssef who showed us how to make a healthy salad with green and red capsicums, tomato, walnuts, pomegranates, onions (optional), pomegranate molasses and olive oil.

There are many other dishes offered in this buffet, some of which are non-Arabian. My favourites from the Arabian Delights are the vine leaf (very unique taste) and hummus because I have always loved hummus which goes so well with pita bread. I like simple tastes but I appreciate the complexity of Arabian food in that so many different spices are used. As you can see, Arabian food isn’t all about meats like lamb, there are enough options here for vegetarians too.

The Arabian Delights buffet is available for dinner only at RM108++ per person and half price for children between 6 to 12 years old. There’s a live station which offers either Chicken Shawarma, Lamb Ouzi, Fat, Falafel or Batata Harra on a daily basis.

Vogue Café is located at the Lobby Level – West Wing, Renaissance Hotel KL. For further enquiries or reservations, please call 03-2162 2233.

  1. Thank Junioer and it is an opener to my eyes for Arabian food. I only know hummus for Arabian dishes and has been wondering about other Arabian dishes and it is interesting to know that they have salad too. Food looks very healthy and there is sure a good array of dishes only for that price =) .
