I wonder how many people find sleeping masks help with their hydration. I have used so many sleeping masks yet I am still told that my skin lacks dehydration. By the way, why is it that when brands reformulate their sleeping masks, they bear the same name but with the addition of “EX” at the end. It’s like that with Laneige Sleeping Pack EX and so it is with Aupres Aqua Active Sleeping Mask EX.
Now it comes in a pink tub but to me, it looks the same as its predecessor with the same gel texture and tiny beads within which must be crushed as you apply it to your face. I know it’s not infused with lavender but I think it smells the same as the previous formulation. Of course I could be wrong since I am no scent expert.
I found no difference between using this new formulation and the previous formulation. My skin felt hydrated in the morning, soft and smooth but then it was also like that with Aupres Aqua Active Sleeping Mask which I reviewed earlier. No matter since the price is the same at RM95/80g. Isn’t that nice? They improved the formulation but the price didn’t increase.
I think sleeping mask only temporary help with the hydration. It as if one have to use it forever?
Well said, it is a temporary solution as skin feels hydrated for the night but it doesn’t improve hydration long-term (not for me anyway!).
What is the white stuff in the tub? Like snowflakes….
Beads that contain more potent ingredients, I suspect.
But to me sleeping mask helps to minimise my pores as it hydrating my skin, personally I love sleeping mask so much that it has become my must-have skin care item. Anyway different people have different verdict, my sister does not use sleeping mask because her face tends to get too oily after using.
That’s interesting that it helps to minimise your pores. May I know what sleeping masks have helped you with that?
I’m using Ciracle Jeju Water Sleeping Mask with Gold flakes. I used Laneige Sleeping Mask before but Ciracle works better on my skin so I stick to it. 🙂
Ciracle Jeju with Gold Flakes? Wow! I must go have a look. Where is it available? The gold flakes sound luxe!
Yes it is! You can get it from SaSa or from Ciracle online store. 😀
