This is the second new make-up product available at Aupres counters this month, an all-in-one face compact which has a 3 tone blush on the top half and highlighter/bronzer on the bottom half. The bottom of the compact has an illustration on how to use the compact, i.e. which part of the compact to be used on which section of the face.
The compact itself is very light, it looks a bit cheap and tacky despite it coming with a pouch a la Chanel or Guerlain. In fact, it’s almost like a drugstore product. Aupres products may be formulated by Shiseido Laboratories in Japan but the fact remains that they are all made in China. I’ve nothing against products made in China but prices should reflect that they are made in China. I have no idea how much this compact costs.
Inside the compact is a dual-ended brush, presumably one side for blush and the other side for highlight/bronzer. I didn’t find it useful because when I used it for applying blush, it applied unevenly as the brush isn’t big enough nor is it shaped appropriately for applying blush nicely.
There are 2 shades for this face compact – one peach and the other pink/rose. As luck would have it, I received the latter shade during the MIVVA/Aupres Bloggers’ Workshop. I would have preferred the peach as I am so not into pinks for blush.
The powders are covered by a plastic cover which is also a little cheap-looking. Frankly, I think only the blush or the highlighter/bronzer should have been covered because the blush tends to migrate to the bottom half. It’s very powdery when I swipe it with my brush so tiny bits of it find its way to the highlighter and soon I may find myself with a pink hued highlighter.
This Face Creator is a bit average for me. I wouldn’t have been drawn to it if I had seen it on the counter. I swatched the Aupres eyeshadows when their counters first opened and since then, have been left unimpressed with their make-up.
you look too pink.
I couldn’t agree more which is why I stay away from pink blush.
The flower motif is really sweet!
