The award ceremony, held on 27 February 2025 (Thursday) at Crystal Crown Hotel Petaling Jaya, where the official certificates were presented by MBOR representatives, not only highlights the brand’s exceptional achievements in the food and beverage industry but also reinforces its commitment to quality, consumer trust, and adherence to high standards by Ayam Gepuk Pak Gembus.

The event was officiated by the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs), YB Senator Dato’ Setia Dr. Haji Mohd Na’im Mokhtar and attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia, TYT Dato Indera Hermono,
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Ayam Gepuk Pak Gembus Malaysia, Zulkarnain Bin Mohd Yusof, stated that receiving recognition from MBOR is not just an achievement but also a significant responsibility to consumers and the industry.
He emphasized that this recognition assures customers that the highest and halal standards are always prioritized and practiced in food preparation. “The recent halal certification also demonstrates our commitment to providing safe, clean, and high-quality food to our customers. It also helps elevate Malaysia’s reputation as a trusted global halal hub.”

He added that Ayam Gepuk Pak Gembus Malaysia is determined to continue expanding its operations, offering more menu innovations, and contributing to Malaysia’s rapidly growing halal industry. “With over 800 outlets in Indonesia and nearly 100 outlets in Malaysia, Pak Gembus is now strengthening its position to meet customer demand in key markets, including Sabah and Sarawak,” he said.

Regarding future plans, Ayam Gepuk Pak Gembus is planning to open its first international outlet outside Malaysia, marking another significant milestone in its global expansion strategy. “With a customer-focused approach, Pak Gembus remains committed to bringing authentic flavors and halal compliance to more regions, in line with market demand,” he said. At the event, Pak Gembus also introduced its latest product, Sambal Kemiri, which was exclusively launched for attendees. This innovative product is a new addition to the Pak Gembus family, distinct from the iconic sambal served in its restaurants. It is specially designed to bring the authentic ‘PG by Pak Gembus’ flavor directly to customers.
