Another little “gem” in the Fabulous Finds Beauty Box. It’s like a mini beauty treasure chest, isn’t it? This product is a 2-in-1 combining cleansing with exfoliating/resurfacing properties. It’s to be used after you’ve taken off your make-up with a cleansing milk/oil. In other words, this is the 2nd step in the 2-step cleansing routine.
Basically, this is a pearlized blue gel with ultra-fine macrosphere blue beads. The exfoliating action is very mild and gentle, nothng abrasive about this one. I used it to remove make-up, just wanted to see if it was effective even though it isn’t for that purpose. Surprisingly, it is effective for removing foundation/powder/blush. I didn’t see any residue when I wiped my face with a cotton pad soaked in toner.
For normal skins, it’s recommended to be used 1-2 times a week while for problematic skins (i.e. acne-prone skins), it’s recommended for daily use for a week and then 2-3 times the following weeks. Well, I have dry skin but I have been using it twice daily but don’t follow me if you have dry skin. I’m just doing this for experimental purposes to see whether it dries out my skin. To my relief, it doesn’t.
It has a very pleasant botanical silver fir scent, quite unique as I can’t think of another product with a similar scent. I’d like more of this product. Unfortunately, there isn’t enough (this is a 15g tube) for me to see the long-term results. Its fruit acids are supposed to encourage clarity and brightness by dissolving skin cell build-up. For those who are interested in the ingredients, I should point out that this product contains sodium laureth sulfate.
Although I was informed the price of the full-size product, I can’t remember exactly what it is but I believe it’s around RM160.
