When I first came across Beauté de Kosé Eye Fantasist Eye Colors a few years ago, I thought they were an interesting product. They come in various colours (mostly quite sheer) packaged in teardrop shaped plastic tubes with doe-foot sponge applicators.
Two years ago, I purchased a special set compact powder foundation from Kosé in Jusco MidValley which came with a choice of Eye Fantasist Eye Colors. I chose Blue Jade BL 951 as it seemed to have the most intense colour, if “intense” can be used to describe the colour that comes out of the tube. The manufacturing date of the Eye Color was 2007, I didn’t realise this until I’d purchased the set. I don’t know why brands think it’s okay to flog off products that are more than 3 years ago, just gives me a bad impression of the brand. Flogging off products which are 2 years old is pushing it but more than 3 years old is just too much.
It’s easy to apply with the applicator and the texture is very liquid. The result is a sheer shimmery light blue. Layering it doesn’t bring about much in the way of buildable colour so I’ve been using it as an eyeshadow base for similar powder eyeshadow shades.
This is a product which works better as an eyeshadow base than an eyeshadow per se. I guess I should discontinue use as the product is now 5 years old but since I haven’t developed any reactions to it, I’ll go on using it for a little bit longer.
I doubt the product is still available at the counters and they shouldn’t be if they date back to 2007. If I’m not mistaken, they were RM70 each.
