Beauté Pacifique is a Danish skincare brand established in 1997, it works on both age degeneration and sun damage. The brand was founded by Flemming K. Christensen as a result of many years of co-operation with leading dermatologists and pharmacists including of new medical diagnostic devices for mapping the skin’s condition – before and after the use of pharmaceuticals.
The skincare products are made to fulfill near-medical claims and the claimed benefits can be demonstrated objectively at the sales outlets by ultrasound scanning “before and after”. At present, the brand carries around 50 products. Their 1st counter officially opened this Monday at Robinson’s. The brand is also available at Robinson’s, Singapore.
During my visit to the counter, the consultant scanned my skin (damage due to ageing were the results!) and gave me some samples to try. She mentioned that the key ingredient in Beauté Pacifique products is Vitamin A esters which encourage the skin to produce new collagen and elastin so that skin renews and re-grows. This results in healthier and younger looking skin as the products help skin to recover from sun exposure damage.
These are the products I have tried:-
1. Enriched Cleansing Milk – Dry Skin 200ml bottle/RM186
A very creamy milk which removed all my make-up without leaving my skin dry in the slightest. Contains squalane which is essential for maintaining youthful skin. Lack of squalane can result in premature ageing, very dry skin and loss of elasticity.
2. Gentle Facial Exfoliator 100ml tube/RM222
Contains small round pearls for exfoliation. It’s gentle yet effective. My skin felt smooth after it’d been rinsed off.
3. Enriched Toner – Dry Skin 200ml bottle/RM186
Soothing toner which contains glycerin, one of the very best and most widely used humectants (moisturizers) and Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder, a natural raw material that functions as a natural humectant, and is well known for its soothing and healing properties.
4. D-FORCE Anti-Age Day Cream 50ml jar/RM513
This is a cosmeceutical product which has a high concentration of Vitamin D (up to a remarkable 250 IU per ml creme). Also contains three effective types of Vitamin A Esters fighting signs of aging and sun damage and two types of Vitamin E – acting as anti-oxidants. Texture is a bit thick but absorbs into skin without difficulty.
5. Vitamin A Anti-Wrinkle Cream 115ml tube/RM518
Not as thick as the D-FORCE Anti-Age Day Cream. I like the fluid texture of this one as it absorbs into skin faster and is just as hydrating as the D-FORCE Anti-Age Day Cream. This one contains two forms of Vitamin A to rebuild the collagen fiber structures and help skin become reinforced and rejuvenated. Ideally this one should be used as a night cream. Recommended to be applied every second day during the first week to allow the skin to adapt to the Vitamin As and to avoid erythema or redness.
i think this ultra sound scanning is very accurate! Yeah, vitamin A works very well for ageing skin. I heard a lot of goodness about vitamin A but can be irritating to skin. That is why it is suggested slowly. =)
Vitamin a anti wrinkle cream looks interesting but the price sure is hefty!
Yup, products from Denmark don’t come cheap!
