Biotherm White D-Tox CC Cream

Is the CC Cream going to become more popular than the BB Cream to the extent that one day the BB Cream will be obsolete? Unlikely but the way things are going, more brands are going to churn out CC Creams especially those who already have BB Creams. Those who haven’t produced BB Creams might as well make CC Creams available since this is the new “IT” cream.

Biotherm used to have a White D-Tox Bright-Cell Correcting Make-Up Base which I thought was quite good but now that has been replaced by their White D-Tox CC Cream, also in 5 color corrective shades. Each shade has a different function of course and the shade suitable for you very much depends on your skin concerns and needs. Each of the 5 designated shades corrects a specific skin color tone issue – be it dark spots, dullness, unevenness, yellowness or redness, while the formula’s sophisticated skincare ingredients work to protect the skin, helping to prevent those color tone problems from developing in the first place.

GREEN CC ANTI-REDNESS

Aim – Eliminates angry redness and red blotches.

WHITE CC BRIGHT

Most of us would probably go for White CC Bright as who doesn’t want to have a brighter and less dull complexion? I would also go for the Coral CC Glow as I’d like to have a glowing complexion. However, I ended up with a sample of Purple CC for even toned skin.

This is my first encounter & contact with a CC Cream (more to review but one at a time) and although it looks thick, it really isn’t. I may have squeezed out a bit too much here. I guess I can just about get away with not using sunscreen if I use this since it has SPF50+. There’s skincare benefit in this cream as it contains White D-Tox’s signature triple illuminating Lumina Marina Complex to help improve brightening.

So what do I notice? My skin looks less yellow and tone is more even. Coverage is quite sheer, I can still see my dark spots but of course I can always apply a liquid foundation over this since it makes a good make-up base. Foundation goes on smoothly after the CC Cream has been applied and it holds the foundation.

CC Creams aren’t that affordable especially from counter brands. This one retails at RM135/30ml.
