Having been stuck in traffic gridlock for more than half an hour and moving only inches at that notorious stretch in front of Phileo Damansara one Friday evening, I had no choice but to make a U-turn and have dinner at Jalan Universiti’s KFC outlet. Braved the traffic again but once more, didn’t get far so made another U-turn and ended up at Jaya Shopping Centre.
Now I haven’t had a proper ice kacang for some time. Caffe Bene offers “bingsu” or the Korean version of ice kacang with red beans and high quality nuts such as macadamias and almond slivers. The “bingsu” comes in single or double with the singles costing RM12.80 and the double over RM20 but the single is quite huge and can satisfy the cravings of 2 persons unless you really don’t want to share. You can choose between flavours such as cookies and cream, strawberry, green tea and chocolate.
For RM12.80, the quantity is worth it and they are generous with the sprinkling of nuts as well as the whipped cream and green tea ice cream underneath the mound of whipped cream. The ice shavings are very fine and when you mix everything together, you get a dessert that just melts in your mouth.
Nice! 🙂
Ooh, the traffic was really bad as everyone is going back to their hometown. The ice cream looks so tempting that I am not salivating since I love dessert.
