As I mentioned in an earlier post, I’ve been using Estee Lauder’s Time Zone as a day moisturiser since it contains sunscreen. This 30ml jar of Time Zone was part of the Mother’s Day value buy set of 2010. I picked it up at the Estee Lauder sale last year for RM100 which was a terrific price.
Although it isn’t a full sized 50ml jar, 30ml goes a long way and I have been using it for the past 6 weeks once a day. This jar is the normal/combination version (there is a version for dry skin) and as the texture is quite thick, I don’t need much for my face and neck. I have been applying it on my neck as well since that’s where most of my lines are and I don’t have a separate neck cream at the moment.
I’m not sure if the scent is everyone’s cup of tea as it’s rather strong but I don’t mind the scent at all. Apparently, it’s a combination of pear and lemon, followed by a modern floral accord of cherry blossom, peony and lily finished with sheer musk, blonde woods and creamy sandalwood. That’s more like a combination created for a fragrance than a moisturiser.
One application in the morning keeps my skin hydrated all day. Immediately after application, my skin feels super smooth. Overall, my skin does feel firmer since I started using Time Zone. It’s maintained my skin resilience and I’m quite pleased with the level of hydration provided by this moisturiser. I’ll be on the lookout for any Estee Lauder skincare sets with Time Zone included in them.
However, I can’t say it has helped in reducing lines. I’m not sure there is any moisturiser out there that can really do that or maybe a 30ml jar of this product just wasn’t enough to see the difference. In any case, I don’t have high expectations for moisturisers which claim to target lines/wrinkles.
Time Zone (50ml) retails at RM250 and is quite often included in special skincare sets which are available from time to time. So is Time Zone able to turn back time? The honest answer to that is “no” because I don’t believe any skincare can but Time Zone may be able to delay the signs of aging by keeping skin supple.
To maximise the anti-aging results, it’s best complemented by Estee Lauder’s Perfectionist [CP+] Wrinkle Lifting Serum. A few months ago, Time Zone Night became available in Malaysia, it has a different scent from Time Zone SPF15. I have a sample of Time Zone Night which I haven’t got around to trying out, hence am unable to comment on the difference at this time.
