Cathay Pacific Airways opened The Bridge, the airline’s sixth passenger lounge at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA), following nine months of construction. The newly opened 2.567 square-metre lounge, conveniently located on Level 5 of the West Concourse at HKIA, near Gate 35, offers First and Business Class passengers an inviting environment of understated luxury.

Cathay Pacific commissioned world-renowned architectural firm Foster + Partners to design  The Bridge. Developed with a more residential design intent,  The Bridge makes passengers feel relaxed and “at home”, and is the ideal space in which to unwind before a flight.

Cathay Pacific’s first passenger lounge, The Wing was opened in 1998. In 2001, they introduced The Pier followed by The Arrival in 2008 and The Cabin in 2010. Together with Dragonair’s G16 lounge and with the opening of The Bridge, the Cathay Pacific Group now operates a total of six lounges at HKIA, spanning an impressive 13,000 square meters.

The Bridge consists of North and South wings, each extending from the central Reception area. The North Wing features The Bakery, which offers freshly baked bread and pizzas as well as sandwiches, pastries, Asian and Western soups and fresh salads. The North Wing also features the airline’s iconic Long Bar together with a television lounge and general seating area.
