Qutie Coat is such a quaint name for a mask. I’d never heard of it until I stepped foot into Cellgen Beauty. It’s quite well known among beauty circles though in view that it won Her World Beauty Award 2011 – Her World’s Choice – Skincare : Mask Category and Natural Health Readers’ Choice Awards 2012 – Best Whitening Cream Mask.
Key ingredients in this mask are:-
- Tranexamic Acid which inhibits the formation of melanin by suspending the production of the tyrosine enzyme, which is a precursor to melanin production
- A synthetic form of Vitamin C which stimulates skin to produce collagen so that it has a moisturising effect
- Hydrolysed Silk Proteinwith a molecular size of 20 times smaller than other usual whitening products to allow immediate penetration into the skin in just 10 seconds
- Arbutin, an extract of the bearberry plant well known for its natural double-action whitening agent
- Argireline molecule that relaxes the tension of facial muscles & accelerates collagen synthesis.
This mask can be used 3 ways:-
1. Leave it on f0r 3-4 minutes.
2. Massage it on face for 40 seconds and then rinse off.
3. Massage it on face for 40 seconds and leave on for 3-4 minutes before rinsing off.
When I was at Cellgen Beauty, the therapist recommended the 2nd method so I have been using it that way.
The mask has a mild floral scent and I don’t need a lot for each application. The results are fast and I can see the brightening effect in less than a minute. It’s quite apparent this is a very good mask for dull and tired-looking skin.
Cell Labs Qutie Coat retails at RM228/50g.

wow, your skin really brighten up very fast! Does the effect last? Ermm, what is the different between the 3 ways of using it? Is it because of the type of the skin?
There is no difference between massaging it for 40 secs and then rinsing off & leaving it on for a few minutes but if you massage it on for 40 secs and also leave it on for a few minutes, I presume the effect is longer-lasting. The brightening effect is good for at least a day or two but to see any longer lasting effects, you’d have to finish up the whole jar which would take anyone at least 2 months as a little does go a long way.
Definitely brighter but the dark circles are still there, maybe should also concentrate on that area to see maximum results?
True but I am not sure it is suitable for the eye area.
On yes, that is true.
