Seafood Robatayaki
Marinated Robatayaki Prawn and Baby Squid served with Horseradish Sauce
&
Grilled Hokkaido Scallop and Goat Cheese on Shell with Beetroot Puree
Main Course
Grilled Quail with Sautéed Red Cabbage and Raisin served with Marinated Yellow Beetroot and Plum Sauce
&
Grilled Smoked Turkey Breast with Diced Dried Fruit and Prune Sauce served with Sautéed Brusels Sprout with Beef Bacon
The seafood robatayaki has smoky flavours and the sauce on the prawn and baby squid is much better than your average BBQ sauce of course. I liked the goat cheese but some may find the flavor a bit too strong for their palate, especially those who don’t usually go for cheese. I thought the strips on the main course plate opposite the roulade of turkey breast were vegetables but they are actually glazed and caramelized turkey ham.
Dessert
Red Wine Poached Pear with Blue Cheese and Gingerbread ice cream
The blue cheese has a much stronger flavor than the goat cheese but I ate all of it, maybe just to prove that I could. I noticed that the majority of my fellow diners left it intact on their plates. It is an acquired taste but it’s splendid in its own peculiar way. The gingerbread ice cream is a must-have, so unique and this is definitely a gourmet ice cream.
